(DALIANNEWS)- The moon lighted over the coast along Heishijiao in the coastal city of Dalian on Sep. 14 as the moon festival which falls on Sep. 18, or Chinese Lunar Aug. 15, draws near.

The Chinese lunar mid-autumn festival this year happened to be the day of full moon in astronomy when the moon is the roundest and the lightest in the year.

The full moon will appear at 10:01 a.m. on Sep. 18 and people can enjoy it just on the day of mid-autumn festival which means family reunion.
