China, UK drafting document on meeting challenges of globalization

China and Britain are drafting a joint document on how to meet the challenges of globalization for the deliberation of the G20 meeting of finance ministers and central bank presidents this October, Chinese Finance Minister Jin Renqing said in Beijing on early June,2005.

Based on the document, the two countries will submit a report to the United Nations Millennium Summit this September, added Jin, who is in Beijing for the Group of Eight finance ministers' meeting.

On the sideline of the meeting, the Chinese finance minister held bilateral talks Friday with his counterparts from UK, Germany and the United States.

Jin also met World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz on China's cooperation with the banking institution as well as measures to support development and poverty alleviation efforts in the world.
